Paper tear transition
Make your own paper tear transition
A rough paper edge pulls across the frame to reveal your next image. Designed as a reusable transition between two shots.
Build the shot
- Replace the 2 sample photos with your own JPG, PNG or WebP images. Preview the crop in your chosen format.
- Choose portrait 9:16, landscape 16:9 or square 1:1, then adjust the available colours and timing.
- Preview the complete animation. Sign in with a free account to export the video, or save a PNG frame.
Get the best result
Use two shots with a clear change in subject or location. The tear should mark that change, so leave time for the second image to be understood before the next cut.
Where this look works
Travel cuts, product reveals, documentary chapters and photo-to-photo transitions.
What can I download?
The editor renders at a 1080-pixel short edge. Video uses a supported MP4/WebM encoder, with real-time recording as a fallback and has no audio or transparent background. PNG frames are available separately. For an MP4 editing workflow, use WebM to MP4 when your browser exports WebM.
Are my photos uploaded?
Photos used by this editor are processed in your browser. Keep the page open during export; your account handles sign-in while the animation is rendered on your device.
